Chef Julius Bienert Goes to Aston Kuta
Aston Kuta is happy to host celebrity chef Julius Bienert on their tours to Asia in making of docu-reality series called “Nam Nam”. And on May 20, 2016 they held master class at Aston Kuta where Chef Julius can learn “how to cook like Balinese”. Chef Arief show him how to make the base paste for most Balinese food, it called “Basa Genep” which using all kinds of herbs, and how he use it to make “Sate Lilit” (Screw satay) and “Ayam Betutu”.
“I love the mix between sour, sweet and spicy from the bumbu Bali. I love the way that with the same bumbu bali or bumbu genep, I can use it for different food”, said Chef Julius.
