Maimoon Palace

Maimoon Palace


A well-known landmark of Medan, built by Sultan Makmum AI Rasyid Perkasa Alamsyah of Deli Sultanate in 1888. The palace which covers an area of 2,772 m2 and has 30 rooms, has become a tourist destination not solely due to age but because of its unique interior design, mixing elements of Malayan cultural heritage, Islam, Spanish, Indian and Italian style.
 

Great Mosque of Medan


Built in 1906 by Architect Klingenberg of Amsterdam. The Great Mosque of Medan has been used as a place of worship since September 10, 1909. It is a tourist interest as well as a city landmark. Islamic worshipers gather in the yard grounds during the culmination of the fasting month.
 

Gunung Timur Temple

Gunung Timur Temple or Tong Yuk Kuang which was built in 1965 is a place of worship dedicated to Avolokitesvara Bodhisatva.

Sri Mariamman Temple

Tjong A Fie Mansion

Tjong A Fie was a well known Chinese merchant born in 1860 at Sungkow village of Meixen Province. At the age of 18, he left his village and after sailing for months he arrived in Medan. Tjong A Fie made a fortune and not only that, he was also a well-respected leader during his time. Tjong A Fie Mansion at Kesawan was built in 1890. Today the mansion serves as a museum displaying all Tjong A Fie's memorabilia.

Rahmat International Wildlife Museum & Gallery


The only Wildlife Museum in Asia with over 1000 animal species from around the world. It is owned by Rahmat Shah who has won International accolades, such as "The Big Five Grand Slam Awards" and "World Hunting Awards".
 

Toba Lake and Samosir Island

Toba Lake was formed by a stupendous prehistoric volcanic explosion 75,000 years ago which left a spectacular caldera with wonderful landscapes. Toba Lake is the largest volcanic lake in Southeast Asia, with a gigantic size of 1,265 square kilometers and a depth of over 450 m. The climate in the Toba highlands is cool and refreshing with fertile soil. Samosir Island is a volcanic island in the middle of Lake Toba in the province of North Sumatra. An island inside another island with a height of 1,000 meters above sea level, Samosir Island is one of the most famous attractions for both local and international tourists. Even though it takes around 5 hours drive from our hotel, those places remain as the must-see destination when visiting Medan area.
 

Taman Simalem Resort

Sipiso – Piso waterfall is located in the village of Tongging, District of Brand, Karo Regency, North Sumatra Province, Indonesia. Sipiso – Piso Waterfall has a height of up to 120 meters and pouring heavily into perfect vertical lines. It takes 3 hours and 20-minute drives to reach the waterfall.
 

Kawah Putih Dolok Tinggi Raja


The 167-hectare nature reserve is located in Dolok Merawa Village, Silau Kahean District in North Sumatra Province. Of the total area, 4 hectares are hot springs mixed with sulfur. This hot spring is surrounded by limestone at an altitude of 450 meters above sea level and can be reached within 2 hours and 30 minutes drive from our hotel.
