The region produces the country’s best coffee and cacao seeds and the process can be experienced on a tour of the Research Center of Coffee and Cacao Plants. Jember is also famous for its vast tobacco farms, which represent the main source of tobacco in all of Indonesia (there is also the Museum and Library of Tobacco). Further south, the coast of Jember facing the Indian Ocean, is full of stunning, sandy beaches.
