Batam, October 2022. Aston Batam Hotel and Residence proudly participated in organizing the latest Archipelago Food Festival to celebrate the 25th Archipelago Anniversary. Seven chefs collaborated to create and serve Smoked Beef and Ribs with two different concepts, fine dining and Barbeque All-You-Can-Eat. 

This Archipelago Food Festival was held over two days, "Fine Dining" at Gravity Ten on October 7 and "Barbeque All-You-Can-Eat" at the poolside Aston Batam Hotel and Residence on October 8. Headed by Chef Windoe, Executive Chef of Archipelago International, along with a supporting team of Chef Budi from Aston Batam Hotel & Residence, Chef Chris from Aston Nagoya City, Chef Wisnu from Aston Inn Gideon, Chef Hadie from Harper Cawang Jakarta, Chef Edy from Harper Medan, and Chef Febri from Aston Pasteur Bandung.

"At this Archipelago Food Festival, we replaced the usual roasting technique with an exciting smoked technique to give a different and unique taste." said Chef Windoe, Archipelago's Corporate Chef.

Our creations of US Brisket Beef and US Beef Ribs were seasoned and smoked over a wood fire. These dishes were served in a Texan and Mexican style with a variety of bbq meats (lambchop, rib eye, kebabs, sausages), chicken wings, and seafood skewers. They were accompanied by freshly cooked pasta, beef burgers, and a dessert, said Chef Budi, Executive Chef of Aston Batam Hotel & Residence.

"Fine Dining" was enjoyed for only Rp. 1,200,000 nett/2 Pax with appetizers "Empanada De Carne," soup "Albondigas Sopa," and main dishes "Smoked Brisket, Smoked Ribs, Smoked Sausage, and Smoked Sirloin." All choices were served with baguette, ciabatta, and sourdough bread, roasted potato, sauteed broccoli, spinach cake", and dessert "Mango Cream Cheese Chimichangas."

 

"Barbeque All You Can Eat" was enjoyed for only 250,000 Nett/pax and served with a variety of salads, a bread corner, soup stall, live burger and sandwich stall, hot dishes, live carving, live pasta stall, and desserts, live cooking crepes, and a live fruit station. All packed with a Tex Mex atmosphere, guests enjoyed live music and a special souvenir for guests who ordered on October 7, 2022, while every guest had the opportunity to receive a door prize on October 7 and 8, 2022.
