Batam, April 17, 2023 - Aston Batam Hotel, Aston Inn Gideon, Aston City Nagoya, and Fave Nagoya joined hands to provide support to the local community in Ngenang, located on Ngenang Island, Nongsa. In a heartfelt gesture, these hotels donated to 21 orphaned children and contributed 90 packages of groceries to the residents of Ngenang.

 

We chose Ngenang Island, Batam as the location for our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program because the island is very difficult to reach, requiring special attention and support. The journey from Aston Batam to Ngenang Island does take quite some time, around 30 minutes by car and 25 minutes by small boat. The challenging and limited access to the island makes it the right choice to involve the local community and provide much-needed assistance.

 

The event took place on April 17, 2023, from 09:00 to 13:00, where representatives from Aston Batam Hotel, Aston Inn Gideon, Aston City Nagoya, and Fave Nagoya gathered to hand over the donations to the beneficiaries. The grocery packages contain basic necessities such as rice, cooking oil, canned goods, and other necessities that will help the people of Ngenang.

 

This initiative is part of these hotels' commitment to contribute to the local community and support those in need. The event was organized in cooperation with several employees from Aston Batam Hotel, Aston Inn Gideon, Aston City Nagoya, and Fave Nagoya, who were present to represent the hotels and hand over the donations.

 

"We are grateful to be able to provide support to orphaned children and the people of Ngenang. We hope that these donations will bring comfort and assistance to the beneficiaries," said Mr. Yanuwar Dedy, General Manager of Aston Batam Hotel.

 

The event was a meaningful experience for all parties involved, and these hotels express their gratitude for the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of orphaned children and the people of Ngenang.
