Banjar, March 20, 2024 - ARCHIPELAGO International once again demonstrates its commitment to developing the hospitality industry by organizing the ARCHIPELAGO Bed Making Competition. This event served as a platform for housekeeping professionals to develop skills, creativity, and professionalism. Held at ASTON Banua Banjarmasin Hotel & Convention Center, this competition was the result of collaboration between ARCHIPELAGO International and six hotels in South and Central Kalimantan, as well as inviting hospitality students from SMKN 1 Banjarbaru and SMKN 3 Banjarmasin.
The ARCHIPELAGO Bed Making Competition was an innovative step to improve hospitality standards and consistency in housekeeping regarding the details when making beds. Through this competition, it was hoped to inspire the hospitality industry to continue innovating and providing a better guest experience. Attended by participants from six hotel units and students from vocational schools, the competition was divided into two categories: professional and student categories.
As part of the event, participants had the privilege of attending training sessions and material presentations led by the esteemed Executive Housekeeper of ARCHIPELAGO International, Mrs. Hamidah Bachri. Her presentation underscored the pivotal role of cleanliness, comfort, and attention to detail in the hospitality industry. This unique opportunity to learn directly from seasoned practitioners in the field not only enhances participants' skills and knowledge but also underscores the practical benefits of the ARCHIPELAGO Bed Making Competition.
The General Manager of ASTON Banua Banjarmasin Hotel & Convention Center, Mr. Dikdik Solehudin, stated in his speech, “This event is not only a competition but also a networking opportunity for ARCHIPELAGO employees in South and Central Kalimantan.
