Banjarbaru, February 2, 2024 – ARCHIPELAGO International once again demonstrates its commitment to making a positive contribution to the community through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. This time, ARCHIPELAGO International, along with two hotels under its umbrella, ASTON Banua Banjarmasin Hotel & Convention Center and favehotels Banjarbaru - Banjarmasin, held an event with the theme "F&B Classroom - Unlocking the Secrets of Basic Skills in Food and Beverage" at SMKN 1 Banjarbaru.
As part of ARCHIPELAGO International's sustainable initiative, the CSR visit to school activity is not the first to be conducted, but it is regularly carried out in various areas. What distinguishes this activity is the inclusion of cooking demos, beverage demos, traditional and modern dance performances, as well as fire juggling acts. The excitement of this event series is expected to provide a different experience for the students of SMKN 1 Banjarbaru.
This F&B Classroom event is also made more special with the presence of two main speakers who are highly competent in their field. Denny Sadsunu Wasana, Corporate Food & Beverage Manager of ARCHIPELAGO International, and Chef Denny Frederick, Corporate Executive Chef of ARCHIPELAGO International, were present to share their knowledge and experience in the field of food and beverage.
Warmly welcomed by the teachers and students of SMKN 1 Banjarbaru, this activity proceeded smoothly and joyfully. "This activity is a valuable experience for SMKN 1 Banjarbaru as they receive direct knowledge from the experts; hopefully, this collaboration can also progress well in the future," expressed Dwi Ayati, the Head of SMKN 1 Banjarbaru.
A series of questions and discussions showed a high level of interest from the students to learn and gain knowledge in the field of food and beverage.
In his welcoming speech, General Manager of ASTON Banua Banjarmasin Hotel, Dikdik Solehudin, stated, "We are delighted to contribute to the development of basic skills in the food and beverage field. Hopefully, this activity can provide inspiration and broaden the horizons for the students of SMKN 1 Banjarbaru."
In line with this welcome, the speakers, Denny Sadsunu Wasana and Denny Frederick, also emphasized the importance of students knowing basic skills in the F&B field before starting their careers professionally in that field.
The CSR activity "F&B Classroom - Unlocking the Secrets of Basic Skills in Food and Beverage" is part of ARCHIPELAGO International's efforts to continue making a positive impact on the surrounding community. The hope is that through this program, students can be equipped to face future challenges.
